What’s Sandy Paws role if I already have an agent in the country we are flying from?

Well, because your pet has two parts to their journey. First being the clearance from the country of origin and the second being arrival in to the U.A.E. Please be mindful that every country has a different set of laws and regulations which need to be considered to ensure your pet has a seamless journey.

If this is your first time moving your pet, you’re probably anxious, worried and stressed about all that you could expect/ and maybe possibly couldn’t. Having an export agent in the base country ensures you have an expert by your side to handle all of the paperwork, permits and extras involved – in the case that you aren’t sure, we’re happy to step in to find and even manage your export agent to reduce your communication touchpoints and fully manage the entire process for you.

As your import agents, we will be liaising with your export agent plus, handle necessary permits and paperwork from authorities in the U.A.E. So what would that include?

From liaising with you, your vet, and exporting agent to ensure all documentation is in accordance with the U.A.E. regulations, to obtaining an Import Permit from the U.A.E. authorities. In addition, we would also be handling the entire travel process from their landing to clearance and furthermore, even deliver them to your home. Pet Home Delivery would not apply to in-cabin Etihad Arrivals.

To summarize, our team is trained and equipped to take charge of all the precautions and pet-handling procedures to ensure your pet gets here in the smoothest way possible. We’ve walked thousands of pet parents through their first, and some very complicated moves and we can’t wait to reunite you with your pet(s) on the other side.
